“I ain’t no fortunate son…”

FORTUNATE – for·tu·nate  [fawr-chuh-nit]

Prosperity earned through naught. From nothing. And without effort.

Accomplishing something, or getting ahead, simply by circumstances completely out of your control conspiring in your favour. Not at all based on hard work/intelligence/strength/diligence.

Remember, the next time some tells you how fortunate you are or how fortunate your situation is; they are essentially telling you that you haven’t worked for, or earned, any of it.
